Join the Fight: Willow & Runway for Recovery
We are very excited to announce Willow’s partnership with non-profit, Runway for Recovery! Willow is a woman-formed Nova brand centered around empowering women. Starting March 1st, partial proceeds from all Willow sales will be donated to Runway for Recovery to support them in their fight against breast cancer. Our very own Cannabis Expert, Zach Vest “the Professor”, will also be hosting Cannabis Education seminars for those involved with Runway for Recovery right now.
According to the latest study from the American Cancer Society, an estimated 287,850, or 1 in every 8 women, will be diagnosed with an invasive form of breast cancer this year alone. It is the second leading cause of death for women in the United States after lung cancer.
Runway for Recovery is a non-profit organization that funds families and provides a team of incredible social workers to those who have lost a parent or spouse to breast cancer. Runway funds many of the things that often disappear when a caregiver passes to the disease, such as music classes, tuition, groceries, therapy, and more.
Founder Olivia Achtmeyer Boger lost her mother to breast cancer in 2001. Olivia became committed to becoming an activist and sought an opportunity to battle this disease where she could make a difference in a way that honored her mother’s memory and celebrated the kind of life she lived.
While most non-profits focus on finding a cure, Runway is oriented around the family. They seek to improve the lives of those who are currently affected by breast cancer by serving as a platform for them to access the resources, knowledge, and support they need. Since 2007, Runway has held an annual fashion show for those who have battled breast cancer — survivors, current patients, and children who have lost parents.
All Willow products are included in the partnership. Join the fight today, for a better tomorrow.
